Chick Fil A - Dollar But not Calorie Free Breakfast

Copyright Brooke Becker 2011
Penny pinchers out there may be planning on heading to their local Chick Fil A for a free breakfast from today to September 6th.  You can view details on how to make your breakfast reservation on their website.

I have already blogged about Chick Fil A and calories once when I showed the calories you could save by making the grilled choice rather then fried.  Breakfast has even more options to chose from, but are any healthy?

The best choice calorie wise is the oatmeal coming in at 120 calories.  You can get this for free, or for less calories, and more nutrition head to your grocery store and try Better Oats Oat Revolution Cinnamon and Spice Oatmeal with 170 calories.  My personal favorite also comes from Better Oats and is the Lavish Chocolate flavor that I wrote about in the past.

If oatmeal isn't you thing the next best choice is the Yogurt Parfait coming in at 230 calories.  The worst choices?  Sausage Biscuit at 590 calories, and the Sausage Breakfast Burrito at 510 calories.  If you go with the classic Chicken Biscuit expect to eat 440 calories.

Fast food isn't a healthy choice, but it is a cheap one.
