Home Improvement

Home improvement products are frequently on my mind, and show up in my photography as well.  Currently the home that I own is up in North Carolina by the beach with a renter in residence and I am testing out South Carolina in a rental.  Being in a rental limits my imagination for projects, but does not keep them entirely at bay.

I happened upon a fabulous rental when I moved to South Carolina with my husband.  It is spacious, and has a gorgeous loft outside of the upstairs bedrooms.  I immediately knew this was the perfect place for the Persian rug that my husband brought back from the Middle East, and have plans on turning it into a library someday.  Someday is the key in that sentence.  All of the bookshelves we had ended up used in other parts of the home decor so the loft has a fancy carpet, and lots of boxes of books -- not too attractive right now.

I have two ideas floating around in my head.  One is to have my husband make something custom.  I'd love some low profile shelves along the walls to keep that open feeling you get from a loft.  If we don't do custom I still want a custom paint color so I pondered getting some bookshelves second hand to refinish.  So far I haven't perfected either plan.  I'm also on the hunt for the perfect pair of chairs to put in the room to make the library look complete.  This is the only part of the move that hasn't gotten unpacked, and it is more for lack of a decision and purchase on the project then anything else!

The other project I'd love to complete is to change the decor in our upstairs master bathroom.  It isn't as large as the one we were used to and I find that it gets messier quicker.  I haven't found any ideas that I like yet, but it is in the back of my mind.

Do you have any home improvement projects on your list for spring?  I'd love to hear all about them.

Don't forget about the $100 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway I have going on right now.  You can find that blog post at this link.

  19. Well, I recently did this project in which I redid my lawn and planted a lot of flower plants and grass there. Though not exciting as yours but still I enjoyed it. I haven't been much of a DIY person but whenever I do something for myself of for my home I enjoy it a lot. I think I should do more of things like these.

In any case, this report of the home examination doesn't separate between a vender based assessments and the purchaser based reviews however it focuses towards the centrality of the home investigations in a purchasing procedure. Lagerräumung Berlin
